航空自衛隊幕僚監部協力により、正式な部隊ロゴを6時インダイヤルにデザインされ、運用機体の特別な迷彩模様も忠実に再現。 信頼の日本製ソーラー発電式クロノグラフムーブメント搭載により突然の電池切れの心配がなく、電池交換が不要。1/20秒単位の時間計測が可能なクロノグラフを新たに搭載し、ベゼルには本格パイロットウォッチにふさわしいフライトコンピュータ（回転計算尺）を装備。万が一の航空計器故障などの際も、速度計算や燃料計算が出来る航空時計ならではの専用仕様が特徴。さらにパイロットウォッチでありながら10気圧防水（100M相当）の強化防水設計の本格仕様となっている。

飛行教導群は、航空自衛隊での戦闘機訓練において敵を演じる専門の部隊（仮想敵機部隊）であり、またの名をアグレッサー(侵略者の意)という。 配属されているパイロットは、航空自衛隊パイロットの中でも特に傑出した戦闘技量を持つ。 要撃機パイロットの技量向上などを目的とし、 一年を通じて小松基地から全国の戦闘機部隊及び警戒管制部隊に赴き、巡回指導を行っている。 現在部隊で運用されているF-15には、空中で敵味方の識別を容易にするため、独特な塗装が施されている。

The Air Development and Test Wing, specializing in training fighter aircraft, is a dedicated unit of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force that simulates the role of the enemy during combat training, often referred to as an "Aggressor" unit. The pilots assigned to this unit are among the most skilled and accomplished fighter pilots in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, possessing exceptional combat capabilities. With the aim of enhancing the skills of interceptor pilots, the Aggressor unit conducts regular tours to combat and air defense units across the country from Komatsu Air Base. Throughout the year, they provide guidance and instruction to fighter squadrons and air defense control units. The F-15 aircraft currently operated by the unit feature distinctive paint schemes to facilitate easy identification of friend and foe during aerial operations.
